The Cullen Garden

w Frank Cullen copy

Named after Frank Cullen, a seedsman who owned the site from 1913-71, this garden was laid out on the south side of the farmhouse in 2005. It originally took its inspiration from the work of Percy Cane, a garden designer well known in the first half of the 20th century who came from Braintree.

Today the garden is planted to encourage insect and bird life, with nectar rich flowers throughout the year and bird feeders.

There are several tables and benches in this garden and you are welcome to bring a picnic.
