This year the Christmas volunteer gathering was held on the community garden plot. We all gathered around a cosy bonfire and cooked, or rather cremated, some potatoes. Fortunately there was soup, sausages, cake and mince pies so nobody minded the failure of the potatoes!
In the afternoon we retreated from the rain into the poly tunnel and made Christmas wreaths.
Nothing dampened our spirits, and we all thought it brought a very successful year of gardening to a fitting close.
Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers who give their time to help out in the walled garden, in the community garden and the Cressing apiary. We certainly would not manage without you. See you in 2017.
